As well as being Managing Director, John is involved with day to day running of the business and is Elcons’ Senior Advocate representing the majority of clients at Tribunal, having an outstanding success rate.
“I work closely with businesses, helping and advising employers on their legal obligations to ensure they have the correct employment documents in place. My aim is to take away what can be a very time consuming task so companies run smoothly and effectively.”

Sarah’s role involves meeting businesses to introduce the services of Elcons and highlight the many ways in which we differ from our competitors.
“My aim is to gain a good understanding of each business’s needs and prepare a bespoke proposal tailored specifically for them. Our non- intrusive approach enables us to conduct informal and open discussions with businesses to gain a true and full understanding of what they require.”
Prior to this she ran her own company for 11years. Debra has a wealth of experience in all areas of employment law and has assisted micro businesses up to blue chip companies with their HR issues. Her career has also involved personally managing employees, strategic change and research.
“As a robust and strategic advisor, I listen carefully to my Client’s needs to ensure I have all the facts before giving them all the options to reach an outcome which suits their company’s needs.”
Dave is a time served engineer with over 25 years’ experience of supervising and decision making in small to medium engineering companies. For the past 16 years, he has been an Employment Law Consultant, the last 10 working as a Senior Employment Law Consultant.
“I listen intently to the client problem and then give sound, practical, pragmatic advice to resolve that particular issue. If there are options with my advice, I clearly state what the options are and ask the client what they wish to attain and which option they wish to use. My advice is aimed at trying to resolve issues in the shortest possible time to allow the client business to move forward.”
Terri is the first point of contact for prospective clients in the North East and surrounding areas. In addition to introducing the prospective client to Elcons and the services we provide, during the meeting she is also able to offer advice and guidance on any staff issues the client may have.
“When a company opts to come on board with us, I work closely with the client to provide bespoke employment documentation, and assist with the issuing of the documents to their employees through to review visits and follow up visit. I am always available to visit the client upon their request at any time”.
Emma has over 12 years’ operational and strategic HR experience. Previously a lecturer for the CIPD and currently a West Yorkshire CIPD committee member, Emma is coherent with best practice methodologies. Her genuine interest in people mixed with commercial business acumen allows a logical application of employment law.
As well as successfully completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC), Donna has worked within the legal field for 8 years. She has experience working within in-house legal departments for international companies, as well as for Solicitors and Employment Law Consultancies, and currently provides advice to a wide range of clients from SME’s to high profile international clients.
“I feel it is important to look at the legal aspect of any client query but it is equally important to give tailored commercial advice depending on the needs of the client business”
Her exceptional skills include Employee Relations – ensuring that all issues were dealt with efficiently, change management – supporting managers and staff through changing business needs, restructure including redundancies and identifying alternative roles and learning and development – by supporting managers to deliver constructive 121 meetings, appraisals and training to ensure employees develop and understand the company expectations.
Coming from a FTSE 100 Multi National Company, Catherine is relatively new the HR community with 4 years’ experience working within a HR Role. Having achieved her CIPD Associate status and qualification in Personnel Development, Catherine continues to develop herself and is continuing to study to gain her Diploma CIPD in Personnel Management and Business Strategy.

Our company have been using Elcons for just over 2 months now and I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of them.
