In any specialist trade nothing compares to experience and tradition. The current managing Director William Elderkin is the fifth generation to have spearheaded this well established family business.

With gunsmith’s blood totally in his veins William began to learn his trade right from leaving school at the tender age of 16. From the early grounding as the junior apprentice in the workshop through to taking over the reins in the mid-1990s every facet of sporting and competition shotguns was fully absorbed along with embracing the latest developments and techniques. William reached a high standard in ISU Skeet winning the Lincolnshire and East Anglian championship reaching his ambition of shooting for England in the early 1980s. So enhancing a company that has twice gone on to be voted the Best Gunshop in1999/2000 and 2003/2004. A very rare feat.

Five fully trained gunsmiths are employed within the repair department who similarly have enjoyed a full lifetime’s career with the company. Repair and restoration services include restocking, re-barrelling, sleeving, gun fitting, barrel blacking, barrel browning, renovation & restoration, overhauling and general maintenance and alterations. Attention to detail and personal service are paramount as we trade on our reputation; regularly completing over 30 re-stocks a year.

We are a traditional family firm, priding ourselves on good traditional quality service, one to one care, and attention to detail. Being such a traditional company, guns and not computers are our forte. Our website is therefore not always as up-to-date with photographs and current stock as we would like.
