The team have all held operational management positions before moving into consultancy and many have worked for leading global consultancies with significant international experience working for large, complex national and multi-national organisations. The breadth and depth of our skills mean we are able to offer a wide range of interventions to meet your needs. Our work is underpinned by respected research, theory and practice and we draw on links with a number of leading academic institutions. We also work in association with a number of other consulting organisations including Trusted Advisor Associates.
The hope of Jane's whole working life has been to release the potential of people in organisations. Her early career in HR management in higher education, financial and professional services gave her a breadth of understanding of the challenges and opportunities for increasing people's engagement, job satisfaction and performance in different contexts. In 1994 she moved into consultancy - leading major projects with global consultancies KPMG and Towers Perrin for over ten years before establishing a niche practice focusing on the leadership of change. Jane's experience is diverse. Her work has included large scale people development and change programmes for clients including Whitehall departments and large private sector organisations such as Barclays, Sony, Shell and PPG. She holds a first class degree in English from the University of London and Postgraduate Diploma in HR from Leeds Business School. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Her volunteer work has included membership of the governing Council at the University of Leeds.
Vanessa is known for creative approaches and solutions to client issues and her ability to balance these with pragmatism gained from her experience across a wide range of sectors. Her consulting experience spans leadership, organisational development and managing talent often within the context of change across a wide range of organisations in both the private and public sectors in the UK and internationally. Recent clients include the Healthcare Commission, Astra Zeneca, Genzyme Diagnostics, KPMG, Philips, TNT, DHL, the British Library, the Radio Authority, the Broadcasting Standards Authority, the Department for Trade and Industry, the National Audit Office, UNHCR, RBS, Lloyds TSB, Sainsburys, News Corporation, Sony Ericsson, Boots, British Gas, Bumiputra Commerce Bank and Wolff Olins. Earlier in her career Vanessa qualified as a chartered accountant. With Coopers and Lybrand she worked as a business analyst which fuelled her interest in the impact of people on organisational performance and led her to move into HR management with positions at Morgan Stanley and Bankers Trust. Vanessa has a BSc Hons in Psychology and Zoology and is an affiliate of the CIPD and of the Centre for Narrative Leadership. She is a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Julian enjoys helping individuals, groups and whole organisations navigate their way through tough environments to be the best they can possibly be in the interests of outstanding performance. In the last few years, Julian's public sector clients have included BIS, DWP, DEFRA, the Department of Health, the Healthcare Commission (now Care Quality Commission), the Energy Saving Trust and the Ministry of Agriculture in Sierra Leone; Julian's private sector clients have included Shell, Nokia, IPC and Serco. Julian has worked in senior positions for 20 years with Coopers and Lybrand, Kinsley Lord and as a partner with Towers Perrin in their people and change management practices.
Dawn is an experienced consultant specialising in the development of leaders and providing coaching both at an individual and team level. Before moving into consultancy she held a number of senior learning and development roles in manufacturing, technology and communications and financial services her last corporate role being Head of Organisation Development at Bradford and Bingley. She has experience of leading change programmes working at both an both an operational and strategic level – experience that she is able to make use of when coaching. Her consulting experience crosses private and public sectors with extensive experience working with complex organisations seeking to nurture leadership talent against the backdrop of massive organisational change. Dawn holds an MSc in Organisational and Managerial Psychology and her thesis focused on Leadership Development and the link to Emotional Intelligence – an area that she has a particular interest in. She holds the CFE/C&G Certificate in Counselling and the ICF accredited Diploma in Advanced Executive Coaching. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society. She is licensed to use a range of psychometric tools to help to build a picture for the individual and the team which supports growth and development. She believes in taking a practical approach - her style being supportive but challenging.
Richard is a highly experienced organisational change professional who worked for 20 years in leading HR and change management firms helping complex organisations deliver people services in more effective and customer responsive ways. As a Partner with global consultancy Towers Perrin he led that firm's practice in HR Effectiveness in the UK as well as supporting many major mergers and restructurings. His expertise straddles both the commercial and public sectors and he has extensive experience of working internationally. Prior to moving into consulting, Richard held HR operational roles with Unilever, Merck and Co Inc, and Plessey. Richard has a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
