Elaine originally trained and worked for over 10 years in graphic design, specialising in illustration and calligraphy, in addition to client account management. Before deciding in the mid 90’s to focus her skills on decorative paint effects and interior styling. This developed into a full hands-on approach, designing and making all manner of soft furnishings and even learning polished plaster techniques which naturally led to interior design!
Securing commissions from private clients as a specialist decorator and continuing to work with advertising agencies as a set designer and stylist for photo shoots, Elaine set up her own design business in 1995.
Most importantly though, Elaine has always been considered a designer. With her natural sense for space and proportion, colour and light, working with graphics to whole houses, her skills have contributed to progressing and evolving the interior design business as it is today.

Gary also trained in graphic design, going on to work in a number of design and advertising agencies for over 20 years. His career evolved from creating artwork on the drawing board in to studio/project management & print buying. His last position was working for the international advertising agency Publicis in London, working on some major brands and accounts, making him very capable of dealing with teams of people, budgets and deadlines.
As the interior design business grew and the London commute from Southamton lost it’s appeal, Gary joined Elaine in 2003. Taking on the management side, adding some practical and technical input, as well as getting back to the drawing board!
