ABOUT SCANCAD SERVICES LIMITED
We first established in 1975, as industrial engravers, we also started doing memorials for our own funeral company.
We had purchased our first CNC engraving machines in the early 1980’s, this was for the production of control panels for; RFD GQ Defence, GE Marconi, Ferranti and others.
As technology progressed, we helped develop an upgrade controller for our own CNC’s (Pantocut 2c & 4e), this was very successful so we marketed this upgrade, installing it on many machines in the UK.
As the memorial side of the business increased, we became more frustrated with sandblasting our memorials and started looking for a solution to V Carve lettering on the Pantocuts. We found the Vectric software -
So we designed and built a retrofit CNC gantry for our old manual Incimar 800 base. We now needed to control it. So we went back to the people who were involved with the Pantocut. Amtech were able to provide a controller and control software. We then developed our own Laser surface scanner utility for depth control.
Production will be early 2017.
