At Peerless Windows we don’t just offer one standard profile on our products like most companies. We try to give you that little extra; from our Timber, Aluminium and uPVC products you will find we can give you too much choice. Current minimum building regulations require either ‘C’ rated windows or a ‘u’ value of 1.6 or lower. Make your home warmer by upgrading to an ‘A’ rated window or improve to a ‘u’ value. Windows play an integral role in creating an energy efficient home and situated in the right spot, they will help maintain a comfortable home, all year round. However, misplaced windows can greatly increase the energy you use. For example, if you live in a cold climate, and your windows are predominantly facing south, you will get no natural light to help heat up your home.
Our expert consultants will help you find the perfect position for your windows, and once installed our high-grade low emissivity windows will ensure your home stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Think about the design of windows required and how much breeze you would like in that area. Fixed pane windows don’t open so they provide no ventilation, trickle vents can help with ventilation, damp and other possible issues. Sash or double-hung windows open right up so they provide maximum ventilation.
When you are considering ventilation, you can’t focus on just one window; you need to think about the whole room. All this may seem a lot to think about, but our friendly staff are on hand to give you help and advice and to guide you through your home improvement experience.
At the moment I’m doing some serious rethinking of my house and garden. The first thing to change was getting new windows. Though it sounds a totally over the top, i honestly feel it has changed my life. After more than a decade i finally have windows i can open. The fitters, Graham and Dave, couldn’t have been more pleasent to have around, arriving with their own massive tub of baby wipes and a long peice of protective carpet for the hall. And they totally indulged me on the subject of plants, twistng the wisteria buds back into the main stemso they didn’t break them while they were sealing the new windows in.
Work was completed punctually, neatly and was well finished. We are very pleased with the product.
