Jonathan Wood started the business back in 2001 with a dream of fulfilling his passion for working on motor cars from a bygone era.  Having grown up surrounded by vintage cars and inspired by his father’s unrivalled enthusiasm for Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars, his vocation in life was clear from an early age.

We provide high quality mechanical work for a wide variety of veteran, vintage and post vintage cars, ranging from minor repairs and servicing to unit overhauls and complete restorations. We now have a team of extremely capable specialist engineers, each of whom not only shares Jonathan’s passion for old cars, but also his unrivalled commitment to the highest possible standards of workmanship. We are dedicated to the preservation of old cars, our preference always being to preserve originality and to repair rather than renew wherever possible.

Exit M11 at Stansted Airport and join A120 east towards Colchester. Following approximately 5 miles, exit A120 and take B184 to Great Dunmow. Follow B184 /signposts to Thaxted (approx 6 miles). Upon entering Thaxted take the first road off to the right signposted "The Bardfields". Upon leaving Thaxted village, take first road off to the left, signposted "Finchingfield". You are now travelling on minor roads, continue for approximately 4 miles following signposts for "Finchingfield". Upon joining B1053 (a more major road with a white line in the centre) turn right towards "Finchingfield". We are the first property on the right hand side (a black barn with a large glass window on the front) on a sharp bend.
