About Jondell Limited
Clayton Purdell’s building experience began while he was working in estate maintenance around 1989, carrying out general repairs in, and around, a large agricultural estate and its attached buildings. The majority of the work was heavy duty concreting and block work, with some steel and welding fabrication, and he gained his first experiences of stone masonry in this employment, making repairs to boundary walls and buildings.
In 2000 Clayton became self employed in order to continue with general building work, making stonework his speciality.
As business continued to grow Clayton was able to take on more diverse projects covering all aspects of the construction industry, forming Jondell Ltd in 2006, and continued onto larger projects, managing and developing his own site, from initial planning to completion of final inspection by Local Authority building inspectors.
In 2007 Clayton was asked to do a complete re-furbishment of a cottage which included the installation of a ‘Clearview’ stove. As the cottage was already in mid re-furbishment and he made the decision to line the chimney with an Isokern pumice liner, as making holes at bends would not be an issue.
As a result of this first installation, Clayton was asked to install further wood burning / multi-fuel stoves and chimneys linings. To date he has used flexible, rigid steel and twin wall insulated liners, along with the pumice liners mentioned previously, and Jondell Limited has now qualified to become a
Since forming the company in 2006 Jondell have completed chapel and barn conversions, extensions and refurbishments with a team of dedicated tradesmen.
