Based in Medway, The People Care Team was set up in 2010 by husband and wife team, Zandie and Chris LeFleming-Hodgson. Zandie brought over 20 years of experience as a senior NHS Nurse to the company, as well as her extensive knowledge of Dementia Care. She has a Master’s degree in Community Based Care and is passionate about ensuring the provision of quality, professional care. Chris added his solid business and IT skills, putting in place management procedures and systems to ensure a smooth-running operation.
The People Care team believe that every client deserves to receive exactly the care they need, provided by well trained, committed carers. Our carers mean a lot to us – we recognise they are our greatest asset and we aim to give them the training and support they need to do a great job. Every carer who joins The People Care Team is interviewed and screened by us (including DBS check) and properly trained. Regardless of qualification and experience, everyone who works with us must undergo our thorough induction training before starting work, so that we can be sure we offer a consistent quality of care. We offer our staff continuous on-going training, through in-house training days and courses, and via accredited organisations.

Whilst the majority of our clients are self-funding, we do support many whose care is funded by the NHS or Social Services, and those who receive Direct Payments under the Local Authority Self-Directed Support Scheme. Our helpful office staff can discuss funding options with you.
