Brookland Sand & Aggregates Ltd are an independent family business run by Barry and Marshall Cleave who purchased the Gunheath pit operation from Aggregate Industries back in 2010. Our parent company Norman Cleave Plant Hire was the main contractor at the site for many years beforehand and has vast experience in processing china clay waste and producing it into high quality secondary aggregates.

Norman Cleave Plant Hire was started by Mr Norman Cleave in 1972 who then built up a fleet of earth moving equipment which helped to construct many of the motorways and roads throughout the country that we use today. In the mid nineties the company started to diversify into aggregate processing and recycling, which with our experienced team of technicians and machine operators, continues to be the company's main interest.
