is frequently praised for its efficiency, dedication and responsiveness. We have a low turnover of office staff; we place a high premium on recruiting good humoured, helpful and committed staff who forge long lasting relationships with our clients.
2. Why was Keystone Tutors set up?
Keystone Tutors was set up in January 2007. Its mission statement has always been to professionalise and legitimise private tuition; the organisation is widely regarded as the most professional and trustworthy group of private tutors in London. It acts for a small, tightly-knit team of 200 tutors, many of whom are professional private tutors or ex-teachers from top UK independent schools.
We are also committed to providing impartial, no-nonsense educational advice.
3. How does Keystone Tutors select its tutors?
Keystone Tutors has a rigorous selection procedure. We are frequently told by tutors that we are the hardest agency to join. Besides the essential background checks (
5. How does Keystone Tutors train its tutors?
In its ambitions to professionalise tutoring, Keystone Tutors only represents tutors who can commit for more than two years. We do not train all of the tutors we represent. Our teachers, or those tutors who have already been tutoring for more than ten years, do not need it (though they get a good briefing from us before each lesson). Our Professional Tutors go through a rigorous on-going training programme; this training is modular and unique.
Tutors should be a victim of their own success. Successful tutors help their pupils to become academically self-reliant.
to provide tutoring to families who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

Celia joined the Keystone team in June 2017, after working in advertising as a Business Development Manager for Wowcher and Clear Channel. Her experience at these companies taught her the value of taking a consultative and personalised approach to her clients.
Having been Keystone's Office Manager and a Client Manager, she is now our Tutor Manager, helping recruit professional and self-employed tutors as well as finding the best tutor for each child.
Poppy joined Keystone in January 2017 as the Office Manager and is now our Education Manager. She previously worked as a teaching assistant at Thomas's Prep School in Fulham, helping her gain experience of the London education system.
Kate joined the Keystone team in January 2012 after working for a luxury ski holiday company and graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a 1st class degree in Property.
In January 2016 Kate took on a new challenge and now heads up our accounts. Her previous experience within all of the different aspects of Keystone, helps her to resolve any accounts niggles as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We are proud to have received many notes of thanks over the years. A sample of these is included below. We are always happy to share referees for specific tutors for the work they have done in the past.
Josh is excellent. He is obviously a fabulous tutor. He is kind, patient and has high expectations of the children. They respond well to his calm, straight forward approach. They never complain about their tutoring times and we are delighted that they are making great progress!
Can I also say what a pleasure it was to have Francis help my son -he actually enjoyed and looked forward to his sessions - quite something for a 10 year old boy in his Easter holidays!
Thank you so much for all of your help. My son enjoyed the lesson a lot and found it very helpful. We really appreciate your dedication and interest.
Just to let you know my daughter got three A*s in her A levels and an A* in her EPQ. She is off to Durham to read Natural Sciences. Many thanks to all at Keystone for all of your help and support.
My son got a 7 for his HL Maths and so has the maximum IB score of 45. His name will be engraved on the honours board at KCS and he will be starting at Oxford University in October. We are very grateful to Thomas and Keystone for your fantastic support in helping our son achieve his potential.
"I had only three weeks before my entrance exams to Charterhouse, Sevenoaks School, Cheltenham Ladies’ College and James Allen’s Girls’ School and I hardly had any experience in essay writing in English. I was very lucky to have Naomi as my tutor, since our hard work paid off and I was delighted to be accepted at all my chosen schools, selecting Sevenoaks School in the end. Naomi’s advice was systematic and accurate and her manner of teaching was also intelligible, which helped us to cover everything we needed in the limited time. On the whole, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Naomi and I would gladly recommend her and Keystone".
