In 2004 Andy Summerley joined the company from lecturing at Moulton College, previous to that Andy spent many years at Kettering Borough Council managing contract operations.

Dave is our senior AA Registered Consultant and the man who started Tree Life in 1997, all told he has been in the arboricultural industry at all levels for the last 35 years. He concentrates mainly on teaching the short courses program, Level 6 qualifications and carrying out Consultancy for the company. He is also the author of the LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection 3 Day Course and has recently gained a masters in Educational Assessment.
Andy joined Tree Life as a partner & director in 2004 from Moulton college and has been a great addition to our company. Andy is our Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture
As you have probably also guessed by the name I am the daughter of Dave so Tree Life has become some what of a family business with our extended family being Andy & his wife.
At Tree Life we are now into our Sixth year of providing bespoke, individual and group training from our training centre. Our location is in the centre of Syston due to the good motorway network it offers. We of course have not stopped our visits across the country; but have been able to offer yet more choice to our candidates in our very own centre.
Tree Legal is a company that deals with the legal issues concerning trees.
This was something Tree Life has done as of 2011 - we know that the qualifications are an investment of time and money and with few able to get any government funding or loans this, along with our payment plans, is to try and help our learners.
The guide is a concise version, it is not the intention to replace or replicate the full standard or the contents of the commentary and explanatory notes. The guide conveys in an A5 size handy booklet what should be done when working in accordance with BS3998 standard recommendations. Throughout the sections reference is provided to guide the reader to the relevant section in the full version.
