Two Heads?
The team leaders are Darron Hartas, managing director, and Graham Henderson, senior designer. Together they offer a personally managed approach to dealing with your commissioned work.
Graham’s favourite area of work is corporate identity and branding especially. He enjoys the creative process in coming up with a logo (and company name sometimes) and developing the look and brand (when chosen) to clothe the company with a revamped feel or indeed a completely new identity from scratch.
In his mid-twenties Darron set up a successful independent photography business in York and his team covered many facets of professional photography, working for local authorities, private companies and the general public.
His passion for journalism in the photo sector led to the position of Press Officer for the regional Master Photographers Association. It was when Apple Computers first came to market that he, along with fellow journalist Tim Moat, formed a new company specialising the emerging ‘Desk Top Publishing’. They went on to become an award-winning publishing team and Darron took on editorship – and then became publisher – of the national Master Photographer magazine.
During this time, Darron’s photography business was flourishing and photographers wanted to know the ‘secret of his success’. Very soon he was lecturing to other professionals throughout the UK, Europe and even the Far East on the subject ‘Marketing and PR’.
Whilst promoting his own business ventures, his passion for marketing drew him ever closer to ‘online’ promotion and he was actively involved in the early days of the World Wide Web. He began developing websites for clients and was one of the pioneers in the distribution of many hundreds of online Newsletters.
Foreseeing the future of marketing moving to the Internet, he established a new ‘marketing’ company in 2000 that specialised in creating websites and eNewsletters and through his extensive knowledge of journalism and the press, he became a specialist PR Consultant. His appointment as Fujifilm Professional’s PR Officer, ran hand in hand with the same position at The Master Photographers Association. His ‘marketing’ involvement with both organisations saw him managing many successful campaigns from concept to final delivery.
His team of talented writers, designers and programmers were heavily involved in managing complete campaigns across multi platforms. These included the full management of competitions and award ceremonies, even full bespoke business marketing programmes for small businesses.
Darron has overseen 2Heads operations for over 10 years and heads up the marketing and technical side of the business. His broad experience of many different promotional channels means he can advise clients on the best marketing ‘tools’ to use. 2Heads is a very ‘design’ led agency and we believe that great design (appropriate to your target market), together with a carefully focused campaign, will achieve the best return on your investment. Darron is a firm believer in ‘good value’ and this is always the goal for our clients.
