When you've been in business as long as we have you build up an interesting story.

KBS was established in 1979 as a small family business supplying the building trade in Kington and the immediate area. It wasn't long before word of our great customer service spread and the business started to grow. Soon we were supplying customers further and further afield. With demand in the Mid-Wales area becoming more and more apparent we opened our second branch in Rhayader during the summer of 1985.

Our Rhayader branch was not left behind either and in recent years moved to a much larger premises. This has enabled the product range at RBS to grow as well as the establishment of a purpose-built showroom for our range of kitchens and bathrooms.

We are very proud of our status as a family-run, independent builders merchant and we feel this allows us to give a much more personal and enjoyable customer experience. Many of our staff have worked for us for decades and have built up long-lasting relationships with both customers and suppliers. Our team is regularly involved with community events and fundraising for charity, much of this can be followed on our facebook page.
