The health & Safety Commission has announced that the new Working & Height Regulations 2005 (No 735) became law on April 6th, 2005. This limits the use of ladders as temporary workstations. The law now states that ladders can only be used when all viable alternative have been considered, water fed pole systems are seen as a safer viable alternative and limits the risk of accidents to staff and customers.
