We are a UK based timber framing specialist providing bespoke green oak frames and air dried oak frames along with other high quality timber products such as oak beams, oak trusses and oak bollards to the building trade along with end user customers.
We combine innovation, excellent value for money and an industry leading service enabling us to deliver manufactured oak frames in kit form to you within six weeks of order confirmation.
Through relationships grown over four generations with some of the largest oak saw mills across Europe, we are able to buy, cut and deliver our products at the most competitive prices. All of our timber goes through a rigorous in-house grading system, on site, in Europe. If the quality is not up to our standards, we will not use it. Forest Oak was established through its parent company, Border Hardwood Ltd, to meet the ever increasing demand for hand finished oak frame kits and we are constantly researching and developing new products allowing us to cater for other markets.
Forest Oak is also able to offer a nationwide service due to being part of its parent companys first class transport network delivering to all areas of the country throughout every week.
Once we have received your drawings (these can be rough drawings or finished architectural drawings), we will work with our designers to turn your design into a finished product providing you with finished working drawings usually within three or four days.
As a builder or self builder once you have checked the dimensions are correct to your footings, we ask for signed drawings, and then your frame will go into production. Our lead time is up to six weeks, but if you are in a particular rush, then we can often turn around jobs quicker.
As well as the supply and fit of oak frames, Forest Oak can also supply and fit your glass using specialist oak frame glazing techniques. We are also more than happy to advise your builders on the different methods available.
