Robert leads the Richard Alan group of companies, providing support and enthusiasm, encouraging his staff to succeed. He helps develop and implement business strategies for each of the group companies, ensuring they achieve growth and maximise innovation. He began his career at Richard Alan Engineering as an apprentice. Over the years has built an exciting, vibrant and hugely successful group of companies. When he’s not leading the various companies across the group, Robert likes to relax by gardening and walking his dogs.
Tracey joined the Richard Alan Group in 2007 and works with Robert and the business managers in a supportive, guiding way to help translate Robert’s vision throughout the group. She ensures everyone has a clear understanding of their responsibilities and tasks. She has created structured processes for managing change, risk and issues. Using the management and people skills gained during her previous career as a police officer, Tracey is a motivating partner and a listening friend. Her loves are; walking, horse riding, good food and wine.
Stuart has been with the Richard Alan Group since 2006 and became group accountant and company secretary in 2008. He has over 22 years accounts experience and has worked in both industry and practice environments. His role is to oversee all of the finance functions within the Richard Alan Group and to advise directors and managers on financial and commercial matters. Away from work Stuart likes to play golf and spend time with his young family.
Andy Jackson, Group Business Manager
Andy joined the company in 1997, starting as manager of the control panel workshop. He spent 18 months as one of the three joint engineering managers, overseeing Richard Alan Engineering and is now part of the group strategic decision-making team. Andy provides technical support to the group’s companies and ensures continued availability of facilities, including communications, IT and fleet vehicles. Andy holds a diploma in management. When he is not busy looking after the group’s needs, he spends his time building, riding and maintaining mountain bikes and enjoys the cinema and listening to music.
Claire is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development having worked in human resources for over 14 years, the last 7 years as a HR Manager. Prior to joining the Richard Alan Group, Claire worked in both the public and financial sectors. Her role is to provide HR support to both managers and employees across all group companies. Claire is responsible for providing advice and guidance on HR policy and employment best practice to facilitate the achievement of business objectives. Outside of work Claire likes to spend time with her young family.
Carol has been with the Richard Alan Group since May 2004. In her role as payroll manager she is responsible for processing all weekly and monthly wage payments for each company within the group. She also plays a part in the day to day running of the group accounts department. Carol unwinds after a busy day in the office listening to music and walking.
