Our new Konica Minolta Digital Printing machine is now in full production mode and we can now offer an increased product portfolio, including up to SRA3 sheet size, printing files* directly from your USB Memory stick, online finishing including Booklets – Corner Stapling – Folding. We are also able to offer a scan to email service using a compact PDF format.
We are sorry to announce the passing of Richard (Dick) Portsmouth (The “son” in
H. Portsmouth & Son) on Tuesday 11th December 2012 aged 89 years who died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle against cancer. He joined his father’s business after the second world war (in which he served in the RAF and learnt to fly in Rhodesia – Africa) and built the business up until his retirement in the late 1990’s. During his life in print he saw many changes in the way print is produced, from his time operating hand fed letterpress platens, through to Offset Litho and into the computer age of Digital Print and the world wide web. His surviving children Alan, Sue & John and extended family will always remember a hard working and fair man who lived for his family but was always ready to enjoy life and sample new experiences. Alan & John who both have been working in the family business for most of their lives are committed to continuing the business on with his ethos of family values, rare in today’s cut and thrust business world, whilst his daughter Sue is enjoying her early retirement.
