The Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) Network has been formed to promote natural gas vehicles as a transport solution, to accelerate development of the NGV industry and to encourage increased use of natural gas (both Liquid Natural Gas – LNG and Compressed Natural Gas – CNG) and biomethane as low emission transport fuels.
The NGV Network brings together major UK companies across the NGV industry supply chain who are driving the increasing use of gas as a transport fuel. These includes network operators, infrastructure providers, vehicle manufacturers, fuel providers and logistics companies.
Grow your business in the Natural Gas Vehicle industry.
When you are looking for positive decisions to be made in the industry, you can either go it alone or get the entire Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) Network to stand behind you. The value in the NGV Network is its Members – their expertise, contacts and experience. Sometimes having many supporting voices can help to drive the changes that you need.
Methane is a naturally occurring fuel that has traditionally been used to provide energy to domestic users for heating and cooking, and to industrial and commercial users to support industrial processes.
Generally, methane is provided as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to distribute it through the UK’s gas distribution network or Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) to be transported by tanker, either by road, rail or ship.
with the help of Cenex, has generated an interactive map of the UK showing the current locations of all the CNG and LNG filling stations.
“Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) and Biomethane (Bio-CNG and Bio-LNG) are increasingly being used to provide a cleaner fuel for trucks, lorries and busses. Over the next decade the scale of their use will increase exponentially, and will begin to drive a significant reduction of CO
and greenhouse gases to help meet the UK’s Climate Change challenge.”
