We believe our broad range of project experience, from complex laboratories to discreet solutions for historic buildings and our innovative but practical approach to engineering design, make us well placed to undertake commissions for you.
Roger Parker set up the practice in September 1992, aiming to deliver a quality design service within competitive market conditions. Resources are therefore focussed on engineering design, the practice is flexible and lean, while personnel are provided with the best training, rewards and equipment to do the job.
Glaxo Group Research and St John's College, Cambridge provided the practice with its first commissions but we have expanded our workload and client base. These include large schemes, for example, laboratories, libraries, health and educational buildings, with complex engineering services, as well as a range of smaller projects. All of these are considered with equal importance.
The practice can also provide commissioning management and site engineering services.
The performance of services engineers has traditionally received criticism, particularly from architects, in a number of areas. The practice aims to address these criticisms by adopting a philosophy which includes the following:
Take a pro-active role in establishing overall design philosophy within the design team.
Take an active role in commissioning of engineering services which ensures the end user inherits a working and reliable installation.
We believe our broad range of project experience, from complex laboratories to discreet solutions for historic buildings makes us well placed to undertake commissions for you.
