D.J.Milner is a family run haulage company, we have been involved in railway preservation since 1980, then we moved on to moving railway locomotives and rolling stock, for the foxfield railway in 1984 this was to help reduce transport costs.

With hard work and dedication and care for the items that we are trusted with, we have successfully completed many unusual moves including, Aircraft, Traction engines, Fairground equipment and abnormal sized boats. Sons, James and Thomas have grown up in the business. James passed his heavy goods license aged 18 under the Governments young drivers’ scheme and became one of the youngest lorry drivers in the country. Thomas later passed his class 2 after the scheme had ended and the age limits reduced. Though Thomas helps part time, James is a full time, valued and popular member of the group.
