The Approved Contractor scheme is for electrical contractors undertaking design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations to BS 7671. Using an NICEIC approved contractor guarantees the standard of work carried out meets the stringent guidelines and regulations set out by the NICEIC. This is a voluntary regulatory body which assesses electricians and the competence of their skills.

Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is a nationally recognised quality assurance scheme, supported by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. MCS certifies microgeneration technologies used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources.

OFTEC is the Oil Firing Technical Association. OFTEC establishes the standards for competence within the domestic oil heating and cooking industry. By ensuring the quality of people and businesses working in this area, OFTEC maintains standards for reputable companies and consumers alike.
