Operator comfort is paramount when very long training days are required. The 3d Evolution PTB Winch is equipped with an industry leading, tilt-able cab that has heating, a/c, top and front wipers, full suspension seat, touch screen menus and single joystick control with full auto option. The all hydraulic transmission is powered by a Caterpillar, six cylinder, turbocharged Diesel engine developing 180 b.h.p. ensuring quiet operation and long service life. The mechanical systems are engineered to very high standards using modern hi-tech materials and techniques to ensure low maintenance and high reliability.
The KB15 kite balloon is designed to provide a stable airborne platform, lifting a parachutist gondola to altitudes of 1000ft. For this purpose, the balloon is equipped with load patches to accommodate the gondola, the balloon being launched from a winch. On reaching the operational height, the winch is stopped and the balloon is maintained at its operational altitude.
The gondola has evolved over many years and provides a simple and stable platform for first jump training. It consists of a rugged tubular frame with an aluminum tread plate floor. The lightweight side sheets and optional roof provide protection from the elements during winter training operations.
