David has spent over 25 years working in large Healthcare manufacturing Corporates and Startup businesses, in various Professional roles at Executive and Associate Director level, and as a business owner.
As a consultant working for large FTSE clients, he has direct experience of the advantages of invoice trading and has actively used these methods within his businesses. David is based in the North of England and is the primary contact for clients located in this area.
With extensive international business experience which included sourcing, financing and constructing worldwide substantial ‘turn key’ industrial projects as Marketing Director for an Irish based construction group, Peter went on to create, operate, market and sell the national Tumble Tots pre-school licence programme.
He also worked as a non-executive Consultant to English Heritage Buildings and subsequently owned and operated the South West Division of EHBP, the UK’s market leader in oak frame buildings. Although familiar with a variety of SME’s and their problems he has most recently provided consultancy over 9 months for a national multi million pound concept development.
The formation of SME Invoice Trading
David & Peter met as colleagues when working for an innovative UK concept development, and share a common vision to provide SME businesses with a real and sustainable alternative to traditional banking methods, offering cashflow funding options that give them control, value and a truly cost effective and agile funding stream to drive growth and entrepreneurship.
"There was no meaningful help available from the Government to assist us in doing this. In addition, the retail banks were unable to help us as they couldn’t understand our technology, and were not prepared to take any risk on their books, even when the Funding for Lending Scheme money applied to minimise their risk."
“I simply choose which invoices I want to auction, set all the terms of the auction (including the maximum cost of finance), and get on with growing my business.”
“Our business has been growing steadily over a number of years, and we’ve worked extremely hard to build up a good client base in what has been a tough time for the building industry."
"For the first time for a number of years, 2014 is shaping up to be a year where we can take meaningful advantage of our hard work, and deliver exciting growth due to the renewed confidence we are seeing all around."
, and if it wasn’t for Invoice Trading we simply wouldn’t be able to finance the growth we are expecting to see in 2014.”
