UES stands for University Entrance Skills. The organisation was founded with one aim in mind: to provide high quality, personal support to students entering Higher Education in the US and the UK. With that in mind, we have developed an end-to-end service that includes help with standardised test tutoring, building the right extracurricular profile, choosing colleges, writing college essays and personal statements, and completing applications.
We also work closely with schools to deliver in-house courses, build their capacity for US application support, and provide them with up-to-date information and expertise. Teachers and counsellors from over 100 schools have attended our events and training.
We're honest with students and families about the dedication and hard work needed for successful university applications. Above all, we're committed to our students, and this commitment gives them the confidence to successfully steer the course through the process of university applications.
Jason Smith founded UES with the goal of setting the gold standard in test preparation and application support. He has a First Class degree with Honours and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Nottingham, has worked in both the private and public sector as a research scientist, and competed internationally in Taekwondo. Jason's passion to help students achieve their educational potential is the cornerstone of the philosophy of UES.
We are long-time partners of the Fulbright Commission, a non-profit organisation founded by the British and American Governments in 1948 to foster mutual understanding between the UK and US. We're also partnered with Sporting Elite, a consultancy that advises students on gaining sports scholarship funding. We work with over 25 schools in the UK, Channel Islands, and Europe to help them develop their US applications provision through schools courses, presentations, and CPD training.
