About Lake District Lodge Holidays
I started Lake District Lodge Holidays in 2010 after my wife Paula & I decided to rent out our own holiday lodge at Limefitt Park. We quickly discovered that when we weren’t using the lodge ourselves it was fully booked all year round!
From that humble beginning we now arrange stays at over 100 lodges at 4 fabulous locations around Windermere. This makes us the largest independent holiday lodge rental company in the Region. Our core values remain true to this day and we now have a great team of local people working with us who also share the same passion.
I first fell in love with the Lake District when my husband Mark and I had our very first holiday together in Ambleside in 1991. Little did we know that we would one day be lucky enough to live and work in this beautiful part of the UK. I get great satisfaction in knowing we help people every day to enjoy such a spectacular place.
I am a Lake District Local having been born and raised in Windermere. My role with Lake District Lodge Holidays is Maintenance Manager and I look after the upkeep of our lodges to make sure everything is fully functional for your stay.
I joined the LDLH team in May 2015 with knowledge of the surrounding area, local holiday parks and attractions. I’m more than happy to help our guests with their enquiries and love nothing more than hearing the excitement in someone’s voice, when I’ve helped them find their perfect lodge holiday.
My top tip would be “Making sure you pack for all weathers and bring a pair of comfy shoes”.
Add that to a wander down by the lakeshore to watch the sunset and life is good, always with a dog or two for company! My tip would be as long as you dress for the weather you can’t go far wrong.

Lake District Lodge Holidays originally started in 2006 following significant demand for letting our own 2 lodges. Fast forward to 2017 and we now arrange bookings for and/or manage over 90 holiday lodges. We have recently moved to our new Headquarters at Yewgarth, New Road, Windermere where our team of 7 ‘Holiday Lodge Experts’ is based.
Many owners have joined Lake District Lodge Holidays through word of mouth and our now well established reputation for delivering results based on our knowledge and understanding of the lodge rental market.
We currently rent lodges around Windermere at Limefitt Park, White Cross Bay, Fallbarrow & High Borrans. Our portfolio at Limefitt Park and White Cross Bay is now closed for 2017. Due to significant demand we are looking for more lodges at Fallbarrow to join us especially 3 bedroom accommodation. Many guests also would like to stay on other parks in other locations around Cumbria so we are interested in talking to other park or lodge owners in the Ullswater, Ambleside, Coniston & Newby Bridge areas.
We understand everything that is required to let a lodge successfully – from the initial enquiry to after stay feedback and everything in between. This helps to deliver repeat bookings and guest referrals to secure future income (A number of our lodges get as much as 50% returning or recommended guests).
We offer two distinct levels of service with commission starting at just 15% (including VAT):
Owner Managed 15% – LDLH manages the booking although the day to day management of the lodge is by the owner themselves. Local back up provided as required and charged separately.
We do not offer an advertising service and will only arrange bookings for privately owned lodges where we are the sole agent. Where there is already a separate website or adverts for the accommodation then we will ask that all enquiries are directed to us. Our online booking system can also be easily integrated into any website to assist with bookings.
Widespread internet advertising for all lodges individually and collectively through Lake District Lodge Holidays.

Lovely stay have been coming to the Lakes for many years. Fallbarrow is an ideal place to stay and Skiddaw was in a good location. It was very clean with everything we needed. Very good company to deal with and highly recommend the lodge.
Great lodge for the family clean and a well stocked kitchen. Great ensuite shower and comfy beds. The management company are great and everything is simple to book and they are there on hand if needed.
Beautiful log cabin. Clea, tastefully decorated with the lake 2 minutes from the cabin. Lake District Lodge Holidays were excellent for booking, any queries and customer service.
My only words are WOW! The lodge far exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. The cleanliness was second to none, the personal touches and possessions the owner has put in this lodge are beautiful and stylish. Right from booking with Lake District Lodge Holidays this has been the best, most friendly, most accommodating experience I have ever encountered.
