Mud and Maps provide a place for young people between the ages of 14 to 24 to carry out Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards by participating in outdoor expeditions.
Here at Mud and Maps our fully qualified staff aim to give young people the opportunity to experience new and challenging life experiences. To go outside their normal day to day routine and experience something different while also walking away with an award that will add to their extracurricular achievements.

Mud and Maps specialise in delivering D of E Expeditions at Bronze and Silver level. We offer Open expeditions for individuals or small groups and tailor made expeditions for larger groups and schools. We provide expeditions by foot or wheelchair at both levels and expeditions to additional support needs young people or groups.
We have a variety of expedition dates available throughout the year where you can reserve a place, with training dates available on week nights, weekends or school holidays. For individuals or small groups we provide free training in preparation for your D of E expedition. This can be done over two whole days or six evening sessions. These training sessions will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare you for your expedition and working towards you collecting your award. For school groups of 20+ we will visit the school and deliver the training at the school free of charge for you convenience.
