ABOUT MUD MOUNTAIN LIMITED

Established in 2007 Mud Mountain has grown to become one of the leading importers of Italian terracotta pots. We offer a specialist range of classical, hand made Tuscan terracotta vases, olive jars and urns that are not available from most traditional garden centres and retailers.

We have 20 years experience dealing with potteries worldwide and have used this experience to source a high quality range of garden terracotta to bring to the British market. Having instantly appreciated, in particular, the quality of the Italian terracotta and admired the skill of the artisan potters, we decided to concentrate on these potteries and our business now is almost exclusively dealing with the Italians.

We have visited all our pottery manufacturers in order to appreciate fully the production process, the skills needed to produce these beautiful pots and the limitations of hand making terracotta pots of this size and quality and have formed close links with them. We now only trade with a select few that offer consistently high quality products and ensure that we visit those potteries throughout the year to maintain our relationship and to keep an eye out for new designs.

And of course its also an excuse to combine business with pleasure and indulge in the fabulous pasta and wine of the region!

"We're very happy with the terracotta pots, thanks to Lorrayne and Stewart for their efficient and reliable service especially at a time when there was a shortage of large terracotta pots in the South East! These genuine Italian pots will add a lot of character to the terrace and they'll look fab when the Alliums and Agapanthus flower. They were ever so helpful in helping me choose the right style by sending extra photographs. I will certainly recommend MudMountain to my colleagues and clients!"

"Delighted with the design and quality of the Tuscan pots purchased so far from Mud Mountain and grateful for the personalised expert advice and in-depth knowledge proffered. The first bought was a Conca Classica for holding a patio rose and more recently, two Cilindro Liscio pots, the perfect shape for housing our pointed metal obelisks, potted with both climbing Clematis and Jasmine plants. An excellent range available with informative and easy to understand Web site. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something superior in quality to that available from most garden centres."

Thank you for the lovely pots and your excellent service. We will certainly order from mud mountain again!"

"Please find photos of our two wonderful pots purchased from Mud Mountain

"I bought four pots from Mud Mountain in July 2014. I recall, I did spend some time trawling the net looking for something appropriate, but it was Mud Mountain that seemed to me to offer the widest range of attractive pottery at sensible prices. The website showed to advantage the goods you had for sale; I also found it easy to navigate and to place my order. There were no difficulties at all with the purchase of the pots, which were delivered at the time promised and in perfect condition, by a friendly and helpful driver. They have weathered very nicely in the 20 months that they have been out on the patio, and have survived two winters unscathed. I have certainly been happy with my purchases, would be pleased to do business with Mud Mountain again, and would have no hesitation in recommending you to others. Five star service all round!"

"The service I received was first class. I was lucky enough to live within reasonable distance to receive personal attention from the owner of the business. The items ordered were not just delivered but man handled through the house and placed in position and lined. Since the initial order I was delighted to place a further order that received equal dedication. A delight to do business with."

“I’m delighted with the large terracotta pot from Mud Mountain – looks great, the colour blends in well and it should be robust. Mud Mountain arranged prompt delivery with a trusted courier.”

Your very personal help and attention when I rang to speak to you personally was really excellent, helpful and friendly. You did everything in your power to help with the delivery.

The Tuscan pot lifts my heart every time I look outside and I have recommended the company already to many of my friends and will come to you whenever I need more in the future".

"Not being computer literate it took me quite a while to troll through the myriad and often disappointing web pages of companies selling ‘garden pots’ .In the main most were highly unsuitable for my purposes as I wished to match two large terracotta Italian pots that we inherited when we moved into Beechlands forty years ago. Then bingo, Mud Mountain with pots that perfectly matched our originals. My wife particularly is very pleased with the four handsome Italians (pots that is ) that you delivered bang on time and having planted them up over the weekend they are precisely what we wanted, many thanks for all your help and we will most certainly recommend Mud Mountain to anyone who asks where we got our magnificent pots."

"Lorrayne was extremely helpful with my initial inquiry regarding her stock of planters and even though it was a Sunday she invited to me to come and see the stock and was very happy to answer my many questions.

It was obvious from my conversation with Lorrayne and her partner that both are passionate about their business. They took their time to explain to me the different style of planter and ultimately guided to me 3 brilliant and very good value planters.

I would be very happy to recommend Mud Mountain as a business and Lorrayne and her partner as excellent advisors. We met them by chance at the Malvern Flower show and they were able to give us more excellent tips on planting and design which was very helpful.

"We very much enjoyed our pot buying experience as it was so nice to have personal attention at your house. It was easy for us to get to you (good directions) & you had plenty of time availability to fit in with us. Our children had given us the voucher for pots as a special anniversary present & we were impressed with your range. There were plenty of large statement-making pots which are not cheap, but appear to be of excellent quality & look impressive. We haven't had much frost this year but so far very good! I would certainly recommend you to others.
