ABOUT IPC SERVICES (YORKSHIRE) LIMITED

The company was set up in March 2012 by two colleagues –Mary Gibson (Harker) and Michelle Johnson (to be joined by Eunice Evans and Lesley Tempest the following month) – who had all previously worked for a local authority school Governors’ Team and have over 35 years’ experience in governor support between them.

Wendy spent five years as a governor at an East Riding Primary School with three of those years as Chair. Wendy is well aware of the responsibilities which governors face and is looking forward to working with the schools and academies for which she is Clerk to provide an efficient and effective service to them all.

IPC Services (Independent Professional Clerking Services) is an independent company which provides a comprehensive governor support and clerking service to primary and secondary local authority maintained schools, academies and Trust schools in Hull, East and South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

IPC Services understand that continuing professional development is an extremely important aspect of their service to schools, both for themselves and governors, and keep abreast of new developments through links with the Department for Education (DfE) and membership of the National Governors’ Association (NGA) and the National College for Teaching and Leadership. Over the past year, members of the company have attended national conferences and continue to be pro-active in sharing good practice and knowledge with their schools. IPC Services also provides a varied and relevant training and development programme for governors, included within their school service agreement, which can be delivered either through the programme or as bespoke training packages to individual schools and academies.
