Southstar Education and Training Ltd is a not for profit partnership of schools that offers effective and inspirational staff development for primary and junior schools in the city of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and East Cheshire. The company was formed in 2010 with a vision to ‘ contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning in the primary and junior sectors through the provision of high quality staff development courses.’ The training we provide is on a not for profit basis, which keeps costs down for schools. Courses we have recently run successfully include ‘Teaching Grammar, ‘ Getting the best out of boys’ , ‘maximising your impact as a classroom assistant’ and To Question or not to Question – here is the answer! Our team of expert trainers includes current OFSTED inspectors and Head Teachers and others with a national profile in their specialist area.
