Director (Business Development)
Responsible for all aspects of business development within Nova including sales, marketing and introducing Nova into new markets, together with overall responsibility for both Quality Assurance and IT Systems Management.
Nick has a HNC in Mechanical Engineering gained from an apprenticeship at the former Dowty Aerospace company in Wolverhampton and has been working at Nova for around 19 years.
Steve initially went down the ‘A’ level route upon leaving school and then commenced employment as a pattern maker at the former Sealine International company in Kidderminster working on luxury boats, motor boats and yachts.
Working his way up through their internal design office, Steve became a design draughtsman before moving into the furniture design office eventually becoming the lead furniture design engineer. In 2013, Sealine became part of a German based company and the Kidderminster plant closed with production moved across the English Channel. This then led to Steve joining Nova.
It is the specific policy of Nova Design Limited to provide its engineering design services to an ISO 9001 system – the highest professional standard which will meet and exceed client requirements.

Nova have a policy of introducing young talented people into our working environment. With our in house recruitment division always looking for exceptional talent, we engage at least 3 new ‘apprentices’ per year. We have been doing this for the past six years and intend to continue doing so for many years to come. In this way we can ensure the stability and growth of the company, ensuring a fully qualified workforce able to handle the day to day challenges of production requirements.

Nova Design – History
1 August 2017 sees Nova Design celebrating 29 years in business, all this time providing subcontract engineering design services to a variety of industries across the West Midlands, the UK and into Europe.
Starting as a new business in August 1988, Nova was started by Dave Parry (Nova’s Managing Director) and business commenced on the second floor of Pensnett House in Kingswinford around 500 metres from our current location.
Expanding the floor area of Nova and running alongside the drawing boards, Nova initially invested in 6 seats of Bentley Microstation 2D software. At this time, Nova were providing mechanical design services for a company called Haden Drysys who were heavily involved in the mechanical handling and trim & final areas for Land Rover in Solihull.
Nova Becomes A Family Business
September 1997 saw Dave’s eldest son, Simon join the family business. Working his way up to Business Development Director, Simon is responsible for all areas of sales and marketing together with Quality Assurance and IT.
