We welcome feedback both positive and constructive. Positive feedback helps us to continue to offer our patients an excellent service as we know we are doing things correctly. Constructive feedback allows us to reflect upon how we deliver our service to you. We always endeavour to resolve any issues you may have and encourage you to contact the practice
I gained my Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Manchester; graduating with two academic prizes. Since graduating, I have worked in South Manchester before starting at MAC Dental and I was shortlisted for the British Society of Advanced Dentistry Poster Prize in 2016. I am interested in all aspects of dentistry and enjoy minimally invasive procedures and helping patients make informed decisions about their treatment.
We believe in the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness to ensure safety for our patients. Our cross infection policies are up to date and robust. We are fully equipped with the latest ultrasonic cleaners and autoclaves (sterilizers). These are found in our purpose built “cross-infection room”, which means cleaning of equipment is kept separate to the surgeries.
We use the latest and best in technology, this is particularly important in radiography as radiation can be harmful. Digital radiography provided at MAC Dental reduce’s the radiation dose by upto 90% compared to conventional dental Xrays.
Our ethos is to provide exceptional treatment for all our clients who come from an array of different backgrounds. We have ground floor surgeries providing easy accessibility for disabled and elderly clients. We have a hearing loop on reception as well as disabled and baby changing toilet facilities.
We provide both NHS and private dental treatment please contact the reception team to discuss your options.
Dental appointment reminders are now only sent by text or email, we are no longer sending reminder letters in the post.
Please help us provide you with a better service by keeping us up to date with your contact details.
We have a ground floor surgery and can provide access for people with disabilities via the rear of the practice. If you have any special requirements, please call in advance to ensure we are able to meet them.
Gums are firm and do not bleed when tooth brushing or inter dental cleaning
Your clinician can help you improve your oral hygiene techniques and point out areas for improvement when tooth brushing or inter dental cleaning.
The person responsible for dealing with any complaint about the service which we provide is Kay Roberts / Aisha Khan, the practice Complaints Managers.
If a complaint is about any aspect of clinical care or associated charges it will normally be referred to the dentist concerned, unless the patient does not want this to happen. The practice may also provide information about you and your treatment to insurers or legal advisors.
When we have completed our investigation, we will provide the patient with a full written report. The report will include an explanation of how the complaint has been considered, the conclusions reached in respect of each specific part of the complaint, details of any necessary remedial action and whether the practice is satisfied with any action it has already taken or will be taking as a result of the complaint.
