Shailesh Patel was educated at H.L. Commerce College in Ahmedabad city, India., where he graduated. (B.Com). He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and then continued experiencing with a city based firm of Chartered Accountants.
In 1998 he left the firm to start his own practice in the Ahmedabad city, after having gained valuable accounting experience in different fields of accounts and international tax planning. Over a short period of time his clientele got bigger. This included bank audits, cooperative audits, managing limited company accounts, dealing with partnership firms and sole traders. He is still a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as an ACA (Associated Chartered Accountant).
In 2001, he got an opportunity to pursue further studies with ACCA in London. On successful completion of his studies, he joined Spiro Bentley, Chartered Certified Accountants firm based in London, as a senior accountant. This firm deals with entertainment clients, such as DJs, news reporters, film producers, musicians and actors, managing their accounting and tax affairs. As a senior accountant in the practice firm, Shailesh Patel works closely with proprietors of small to medium enterprises as well.
At the end of 2008, he left Spiro Bentley to provide his specialist skills to another London-based firm called CC Young & Co. who primarily deals with clients from the entertainment industry as well. There he provided compliance and tax management services to the clients as a senior compliance accountant and also advised them on management and administration of their business affairs.
Finally, in January 2012, Shailesh Patel set up his own practice firm called Smith King & Co., in North West London. Shailesh Patel has a passionate dedication to service and to trying to meet the needs of clients, in helping them to formulate their business plans and achieve them, through providing, not only traditional accounting and bookkeeping services, but also using his extensive network of contacts and business experience. Smith King & Co. have a dedicated team in place to ensure the firm delivers its wide range of services in an effective way to all its clients.
