Carnevale's humble beginnings date back to 1966 when two young brothers, Carmine and Giovanni Carnevale, from the appennine village of Capracotta in Molise, Southern Italy established the company and began manufacturing and selling mozzarella and ricotta for the first time in central London.
Carnevale is a family-run business which has been manufacturing mozzarella, ricotta and specialist Italian cheeses, meat products and fresh pasta in the UK since 1966.
We are also leading importers of the complete premium range of chilled, ambient and frozen predominantly Italian foods, beverages and provisions which are continually added to by our innovative product development/buying team. Carnevale’s current portfolio of products boast over 3,000 lines and thus is able to meet the needs of the restaurant, pizzeria, hotel, delicatessen, food processing and wholesale trade anywhere in the country offering free delivery and no minimum orders.
Our philosophy has always been to adhere and cater to our customers’ requirements providing them with an efficient service and premium products produced by accredited manufacturers renowned for their consistent quality. Carnevale operates out of two BRC accredited manufacturing sites as well as six depots strategically situated around the United Kingdom. This, coupled with our own fleet of vehicles and dedicated team of telesales representatives, ensures that a high-quality, efficient service is provided for all Carnevale retail and wholesale customers.

Carnevale has grown from a small-scale local producer of fresh mozzarella to an international-award-winning supplier of authentic mozzarella, ricotta, pasta and fresh Italian meat products.
Nowadays, mozzarella and ricotta Carnevale are instantly recognisable and are acknowledged as quality products for all needs, be it pizza, pasta, desserts or sandwiches.
We also manufacture hand-made fresh pasta as well as specialist Italian cheeses, meats and premium pork sausages; all made using traditional family recipes. Look out for the various products that have been given awards within our product range.
Carnevale’s manufacture of meat and cheese products are part of the Red Tractor supply chain assurance scheme which means that we are able to trace the products that we produce from British farms to your fork. The Red Tractor scheme deploys independent experts to monitor the way that our food is farmed and prepared, ensuring that good standards are upheld. They are the biggest food standards scheme in the UK, covering animal welfare, food safety, traceability and environmental protection.
Here at Carnevale we take our responsibility towards the environment very seriously and do our upmost to ensure that we keep our carbon footprint to a minimum.
In 2011 we embarked on an innovative project into renewable energy, installing almost 500 solar panels on the roofs of our warehouses. To date, Carnevale has helped to produce hundreds of thousands of Kwh of electricity from the sun’s emissions and is a firm believer that by investing in renewable energy now, we are helping to preserve the future for everyone.
Our drivers are sent on sophisticated training courses to maximise their fuel efficiency and keep unnecessary emissions to a minimum
Where possible, we use packaging materials that are made from recyclable sources when wrapping and boxing the products that we manufacture and dispatch them in re-useable crates.

Huddersfield depot opens providing an improved service to customers in the north. This includes its own fresh mozzarella production facility.
Carnevale goes into partnership with Pasta & Pasta (London) Ltd creating award winning fresh filled pasta, meals and sauces from the London site.
A partnership is formed to create delicatezza.co.uk, an online Italian delicatessen, delivering Carnevale goods straight to the public.
A new range of award winning sausages & mince is launched, with the expertise of a maestro Sicilian butcher. Daily, bespoke production at the London site.
