our company history
Barrett Tree Service is a family business established in 1970 by Mike Barrett and now run by his nephew, Andrew Barrett.
Mike and Andrew share a dedication to doing the right thing by our clients. We don’t recommend unnecessary work, we don’t cut corners and our clients are almost always surprised how clean we leave the site.

Andrew worked for Mike before heading off to London to study finance and then work in the City. He returned to the family business in 2009 and is much happier – though still has a strong aversion to suits and offices!
Company Founder
Mike started the company in 1970 after working for Beeching of Ash and Southern Tree Surgeons. He has a particular interest in conifers and pruning fruit trees. He usually has a book on apple tree pruning by his bedside!
