Bamboo Basket was founded in July 2010 by three individuals from diverse backgrounds, brought together by the common love of tea and Chinese cultural heritage.
Alice Li was born in Changchun, North East China, and has a Degree in Business Management. Alice spent time as a quality control manager for a manufacturing company before moving to the UK to study an MSc in International Business at Aberystwyth University.
Dennis Hayler was born in Kingston-upon-Thames and first studied Physics, before completing an MBA, an MSc in Management and Business Studies, and a DBA at Kingston University. Dennis is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and has spent the majority of his career in the electronics industry, working with companies throughout South East Asia.
Bob Case helped found the company and left in January 2013 to pursue his career as a Chartered Accountant.
Opportunity and good fortune led to the meeting of minds and for the formation of the company, which is focused on:
- Sourcing a range of carefully selected artistic Chinese products from suppliers with exemplary quality achievements; primarily glass
