Jon Hilditch, music coordinator and year five class teacher at Valley Primary School, said: “We are so pleased to have won Touchwood’s infamous Christmas choir competition and the pupils are absolutely delighted. We worked very hard on the day to provide guests the best possible performance, and have decided that the money will go towards enhancing the music curriculum as well as musical instruments.”
The Bristol-based company will unveil its 21st cafe in the former Ebb & Flow site on Herbert Street. Renovations are underway to complete the new café and is due to open in March creating 30 new jobs for the town, and offering a spacious, 130-seated restaurant with a further 30 seats in the outside courtyard.

Thursfields provides winter warmer for Solihull girls’ soccer team
The Midland law firm, which has recently expanded its offices in Solihull, has bought waterproof jackets to help keep the U15 players dry and warm at Leafield Athletic Ladies FC.

Breast Cancer Haven, West Midlands are pleased to announce the first therapy room sponsor for their new centre. Thursfields Solicitors are sponsoring the ‘Fern’ therapy room to help Breast Cancer Haven, West Midlands in supporting women impacted by breast cancer in the region.
Breast Cancer Haven is the charity that supports women through their breast cancer treatment. When breast cancer tried to rob a woman of her individuality, her confidence or her strength, Breast Cancer Haven provide the tailored package of emotional, physical and practical support that helps her hold on to them.
Breast Cancer Haven, West Midlands officially opened on 25 October 2017 to provide support for the 12,500 breast cancer patients already living with breast cancer in the West Midlands. The bespoke programme of therapies available to visitors include counselling, acupuncture and aromatherapy massage, counselling is also provided for the family. Since October, the service has been oversubscribed with over 130 women accessing the service from a wide ranging area and this number continues to rise.
