Many schools offer the DofE Bronze Award but the Silver Award Expedition is usually in the middle of GCSE exams and is therefore not popular with many schools. Our new DofE Summer Schools offer help for students wishing to take the Silver Award by enabling them to go from start to finish in five intensive days.
of a highly successful ongoing programme of DofE training that we are providing for a prestigious Independent Grammar School in Yorkshire.
Addventure Awards Ltd is a Huddersfield-based company providing various training services linked to the outdoor environment. Since our launch in 2008 we have specialised in training young people for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expedition, working with schools and other groups. We also offer a variety of general and specialist first aid training courses, outdoor skills training, and team building activities.
If you have a preferred location within the UK we can operate from a local centre. We also provide support for practice expeditions including wild and remote country, or independent DofE Accredited Assessors.
In the outdoor environment professional help can be a long way away, meaning that people caught up in an outdoor first aid incident need the skills to manage what can be a long-lasting situation. We offer practical outdoor first aid training courses for individuals and groups that will ensure that you know what to do if you find yourself in this position. All courses provide lots of hands on opportunities to ensure that you learn truly useful skills rather than simply leaving the course with ‘head knowledge’.
As well as our specialist training for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards expeditions and first aid training courses we can also provide outdoor skills training for groups.
