After an 18 year career with Sainsbury’s, Lee launched his own management consultancy in 1994. The company is still active today and although the business shifted from outdoor teambuilding to assessment and development centre work by 1998, during 1999, a chapter was closed on the design and facilitation of programmes to clients like BP, Ford Motor Company, Sainsbury’s, Birds Eye Walls, Airmiles and Anglo American. In 1999, Lee focused his work and skills with small and medium sized family and community based businesses. From 1999 to 2009, Lee worked with organisations who specialised in steel fabrication and structural steel, the timber merchant trade, the building merchant trade, leisure and tourism, catering, printing, commercial sport, events management, local media publications, radio and local government at town, district and county levels. This is one career that to date has seen long hours, a lot of travelling in the early days and a lot of community work, much of it voluntary in the later years.

Welcome to Cumbrian Local Publications
Cumbrian Local Publications Ltd is based in Penrith, Cumbria. Set up originally around regional sports and events publications, it launched its Eden Project with a Difference and first Cumbrian publication titled Eden Local to the community of Penrith and the Eden Valley in November 2010. On the edge of the Lake District National Park, operating between the North Lakes Mountains and the North Pennines, the Eden Local Community magazine is at the roots of Cumbrian life today.
Covering the most sparsely populated area of England, Cumbrian Local Publications produces it main title, Eden Local, every month and with its own distribution door to door teams, which are made up of local people, it is posted through the doors in Towns and Villages in and around the Market Town of Penrith. Editing and Managing Director Lee Quinn believes that using local people to deliver in the area where they live helps link better with the community.
Free to everyone in a CA postcode and free to read online, the Eden Local is published online every second Tuesday of the month. Cumbrian Local Publications is a family business, which has the whole family and friends involved from design, to writing, proof reading, sales and also helping with distribution. The distribution teams and the volunteer writers also live in the area and contribute regularly to the monthly editorial.
A young business already with a track record of success and history of achievements in the community with local sport, community radio, local businesses, schools, charities, not for profit groups and voluntary organisations which has been trading since 2004 and became a limited company in May 2007.
