Here at SD Sails, we offer our in-house CAD (computer aided design) and graphic design facilities to our wide range of customers. In conjunction with our 3m x 15m Blackman & White plotter/cutter, we are fully automated from design through to production, so CAD design expertise is an essential part of our business.
As well as for our own primary lines of business, our CAD services are also utilized by clients in industries including playground, landscape and structural, but we can help you to realise ideas in any field of business, from concepts and drafts, to full working drawings, plans and models. Utilizing the very latest software on the market, this is also the perfect tool for our customers requiring CAD to help streamline the integration of our manufacturing services into their products.
Utilizing the latest in tensile fabric design software, SD Sails offers a professional form finding and patterning service as standard with every shade sail or tensile membrane we produce.
Of course, if you are a fabricator yourself and only require patterns or cut panels then we are more than happy to oblige. All we need are the dimensions of the product and the fabric choice and based on that info we can build the model, pattern it and supply the information in a dxf file ready for cutting, as coordinates for plotting manually or even as pre-cut panels ready for assembly.
All of our products are CAD cut with panels marked and referenced on our 15m x 3m static vacuum bed cutting table with multiple cutting heads and marking tools.
With a wealth of experience in stitching and an adaptable 3000 square foot sewing room housing a wide variety of industrial sewing machines, SD Sails can accommodate a huge variety of sewn work under one roof.
As well as our own manufacturing, we also offer our sewing and welding services to other businesses that have similar requirements.
