Starting out over 25 years ago, Utensils (Southern) Ltd was set up to supply new kitchens to small, local businesses in Sussex. As the business grew, a basic range of equipment such as crockery, cutlery and glassware was offered to customers.
Securing the contract to design, supply and install a new commercial test kitchen for the late Linda McCartney was a turning point for Utensils. More and more enquiries for commercial kitchens were being received, and these turned into confirmed jobs.
As a knock-on effect of this, the light equipment side of the business began to grow, putting Utensils into a unique position of being able to offer fully installed commercial kitchens AND all the associated light equipment. Our light equipment database is over 75,000 products strong, so if you need it, we can probably supply it!
A lot of our new business is gained through �word of mouth�, which proves we must be doing things right! .
Aside from equipment, we have built up close working relationship with a manufacturer of bespoke stainless steel extraction canopies and ductwork, and can offer these products at very competitive prices, including installation.
