Everyone who works in our team has been involved in the safe and security industry for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with help and advice….even if a safe or vault from us is not the best option for you.

Independent Safes was established in 1980, with current director Maurice Still joining the business in 1997. Since then, the business has grown an expansive client base, ranging from major commercial institutions, to small and medium enterprises through to household customers.
From day one, Maurice has believed that providing solid advice, quality products and expert installations, is essential to meet his client’s security needs. His team consists of Paul Hampton & Michael Hitchcock, who between them have over 30 years’ experience on the installation & moving of all types of safes. In addition, we have a network of safe engineers around the country who can service/open safes & vaults of all types.
All of the safes and vaults recommended by Maurice have been tested and Graded to the latest EN1143-1 security standards (European testing standards). Independent Safes is part of the AiS network which means that all safes and vaults supplied by Independent Safes are approved by this respected body of individual risk control and reduction experts working in the UK insurance market.
