Independent Shipping Agencies was set up in 2006 by Jason Ramsay, who has over 20 years of blue chip experience as a ship agent. Jason is passionate about creating an exceptional independent service that is completely focussed on customers’ needs.
Our head office is close to the Port of Immingham on the Humber Estuary, and we are also the only agent with a full time office on the port of Portland on the English Chanel, which also provides cover for other South West UK ports.
Although we can act as ship agent for most kinds of bulk cargo, we specialise in handling animal feeds, coals and biomass products and we are completely up to speed with all the particular challenges and legislation associated with shipping these type of products.
We believe we can provide you with a better port agent service than many of the larger anonymous national and international firms. This is because we are not constrained by tight profit margins and we can give you the service you need and deserve, not just a specified service level. We are independent and that means we are free to put our customers first at all times.
