Surrey Trimming originally specialised in the repair and refurbishment of the soft furnishings in motor vehicles but have turned these re-upholstering skills to the refurbishment of boats, private aircraft and bespoke designer projects which require high quality leather finishes.
Here at Surrey Trimming, we pride ourselves in working closely with each customer to identify the best and most cost effective solution for their job. Where leather car seats are showing signs of ‘age fatigue’, the solution could be to clean and refurbish the leather using the Connollising process in the traditional way that leather car seat covers are coloured. Where the leather is badly worn or damaged, new leather seat covers can be made and fitted to the same pattern as the old leather covers, carefully selecting the best grade and colour of leather suitable for each task. Simple repairs are also undertaken, replacing individual seat panels with matching leather to make good torn, burnt or severely damaged areas. The addition of seat heaters is also an ‘extra’ which is growing in popularity.
