Beeches Day Nursery opened in September 2000 in the Beechdale Lifelong Learning Centre, in Walsall. We understand that most children learn through play, and by having an environment which is rich in learning will help support their confidence, self esteem and independence, giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential.This is our ethos and we ensure its value is placed on every aspect of your child’s learning. We are passionate about children at Beeches and we believe each child has the potential to change the world. This is what drives us to succeed! We have traditional values and we seek to establish a clear sense of social, moral and ethical values for our children to help them grow into mature, caring and responsible adults.
We believe that parents play a vital part of the settling in process. We recognise that parents are the most important people in their child’s life, and we ask during the first settling in session that along with their child’s key person they complete an `All About Me’ booklet. This gives us an insight into the child’s life at home, their likes and dislikes, and their personality, as each child is unique. To help with the transition into nursery we begin with two settling in sessions, both of which are 1 hour long, if necessary additional settling in sessions can be offered. Our aim is to make the transition into the nursery environment as easy as possible for both child and parents. We recognise that the transition times for young children and their families can be anxious. Staff will proactively offer support for both parents and children to ensure that these difficult times are handled with sensitivity, and in partnership between the parents and the Key Person.

We provide children with opportunities to play, explore, learn and experiment, whilst allowing them to take reasonable risks which will help them gain confidence and grow into unique individuals.
