There is no standard qualification or register that is regulated by the government education department although many training establishments offer government recognised qualifications such as NVQ, BTEC etc. Unless training is provided by Adult Education institutions, massage training operates in the private sector through individuals or companies.
The process of Government regulation for this industry is ongoing and we hope that in time it will come into force making it clearer and easier for the general public to recognise a well trained and knowledgeable therapist.
