I joined British Gas as an apprentice at the age of 16. At age 26 I felt I had enough knowledge and experience to start m own independent gas company. My wife and I started Gas-Tite in 1987 and been looking after local people ever since.
As a boy, I always wanted to work alongside my Dad as a gas engineer so when I left school I joined Gas-Tite as a full time apprentice where I learnt not only the gas engineering side but also how to relate to customers. I have work for Gas-Tite for 15 years and am proud to be part of our family company.
Being younger than Craig, I remember being a bit envious as I watched him leave the house in the morning with my Dad, on their way to work. But just a year later I joined them and start my apprenticeship. I have now been part of the family team for 14 years and take pride in both the manual side of the business as well as liaising with customers.
When Mark and I started Gas-Tite all those years ago, I did not know the n that two of our children would join and then help to run and nurture the company into the business it is today. Well done guys - keep up the good work!
