This kitchen in north London shows perfectly how modern kitchen design can fit into a period building. This Edwardian house has been extended making the kitchen area a larger and more sociable family space.

For this stunning kitchen design our client wanted clean sleek lines. We used a combination of Spanish and German kitchen furniture. The tall cabinets come from Spanish company DOCA. They are finished in a soft fabric like veneer and work well in the living and kitchen areas uniting the two spaces providing ample storage. The simple channel handles are finished in brushed chrome and fit perfectly with the linear design.

The furniture by DOCA is in an anthracite grain finish. The galley style kitchen island has a Zodiaq chalk white quartz worktop and provides a fresh contrast.

The appliances which consist of ovens, combination microwave, dishwasher, induction hob and coffee machine are from Miele. Larder cupboards both for storage and the integrated fridge-freezer and a wine cooler again from Miele making a cohesive look. The extractor is a Lisser by Westin, a downdraft model which rises from the work surface when in use and retracts when not. An amazing bit of kit!

Painted in a cool modern Partridge Grey and set off with beautiful polished chrome handles. The Corian Glacier White worktops adds to the modernity and helps bounce the abundance of natural light around the space. The traditional style cabinetry is made in the UK made from high quality materials to exacting standards.
