Jane started Funky Feet Fashions back in 2002 when she decided on a career change & enrolled on a full time university design studies course.
Jane walked out of a career as a buyer for a fashion retail chain and using her art & design skills stepped into a new world on the “opposite side of the fence” in fashion, manufacturing, marketing and global business.
“I loved the design process and actually making them so I borrowed a friend’s sewing machine and made a similar pair of baby shoes but this time in fabric. Friends saw them and wanted them for their children so I began selling a few pairs and from there it just snowballed.”
From those first few designs, Funky Feet Fashions has taken giant steps since it began and the Funky Feet range has grown to include equally innovative designs of hats and personalised gifts, baby comfort blankets, beanbags, cushions and more.
Based in rural Shropshire every funky thing is still hand-made with love by Jane and her small team of local seamstresses plus Mark, Jane’s husband has also joined the family business.
Funky Feet’s Made in Britain collection has stamped its mark in the children’s global designer fashion market striking a chord with young and old from all over the world - a major leap for Funky Feet Fashions.
