Making you a successful claimant
Aside from the obvious financial impact, suffering loss or damage to property or possessions can be an unsettling experience. Compassionate but pragmatic advice and assistance from BSN will help focus your decision-making and alleviate your concerns.
Your interests are quite different to those of your insurance company. They retain specialists, primarily Loss Adjusters, to protect theirs and reduce their costs. The adjuster’s brief is to investigate the claim, your compliance with policy conditions, the adequacy of your insurance cover; and to settle, if at all, on terms which suit them best. We balance those hefty scales weighted against you, understand how they think, know what they are going to say before they say it; and with our knowledge and expertise, we negotiate with them on equal terms.
We have constructive working relationships with all the major firms of loss adjusters, and many of the smaller ones. Our aim is to settle claims amicably if at all possible, but we will not shrink from a fight if the claim is contentious.
We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and carry Professional Indemnity Insurance.
When requested, we will endeavour to source and co-ordinate other parties to provide support and expertise in pursuance of your claim. We are also always happy to work with clients’ own preferred professionals and contractors.
Here at BSN we make the difference by providing constructive help and advice to those who have suffered distressing loss and damage, and sometimes trauma. People, businesses and professions in every sphere, and each presenting a unique challenge: Is it insured? Is the cover adequate? Have the policy conditions been met? Is there sufficient evidence to support the claim? Who or what was responsible, and is there an uninsured loss to pursue against a third party? These are just a few of the myriad things to consider and address at every stage of the claim process.
Delivering on the often pressing needs of our client, whilst simultaneously satisfying the enquiries and investigations of the insurance company can prove extremely challenging, but we are equal to the task, and never afraid of holding the insurers to account when their approach is unfair or unreasonable.
